Bob Casteel
President
As Founder and President of Casteel Heating and Cooling Inc., Bob Casteel has spent twenty plus years developing the company’s name and reputation. His desire to personally impress each customer with world class service, high quality products, affordable prices and exceptional warranties will always be his trademark.
Before starting Casteel Heating and Cooling, Bob was a construction electrician for Southwire during the 70’s and early 80’s. As the wire industry slowed, Bob realized it was time to find a new career. As fate would have it, and only days after deciding to change professions, a large heating and air conditioning company contacted Bob about a career move. With that, Bob spent the next five years developing his skills and learning the heating and air conditioning trade at Merrell & Associates.
Upon moving to Marietta in 1987, Bob worked as a Chief Engineer in downtown Atlanta by day, and at night was successfully promoting his business by handing out flyers and walking door to door. It was this personal touch with the customer that helped fuel the growth of the company, while defining the expectations for all future employees.
In his spare time, Bob enjoys teaching his Sunday school class, singing in the choir, fishing, hunting and playing with his six grandchildren.
John Hillis
Vice President
After graduating from the University of Georgia in 1993, John went to work for one of the largest electronic component manufactures in the world. After ten year’s, and successfully running one of the largest accounts in the company, he decided it was time to travel less and join the family business. Since starting at Casteel, John has focused on the development of company processes, customer service, accounting and marketing the company.
John’s biggest passion is for implementing processes within the company. Coming from a large Japanese company that focused tirelessly on processes, John developed a true appreciation for the importance of procedures. John believes repetitive and clear directions benefits the employees and improves services to all customers.
In his free time, John enjoys spending time with his wife and two girls, fishing, UGA football games and relaxing.
Richard Eppers
Operations Manager
Born and raised in Illinois, Richard moved to Georgia in 2006 to be the Operations Manager at Casteel. During his 11 year heating and air conditioning career, Richard has advanced through all phases of the industry. He started out in the installation department as a helper, became a union trained lead installer, advanced into the service department as an entry level technician, before finally becoming the service manager. Casteel is very lucky to have Richard as our Operations Manager. His vast experience and personality have been a tremendous asset to the company.
Richard has his degree from Environmental Technical Institute, he is a NATE Certified Technician, Graduate of Service Management University, Certified Expert in Heat Exchangers, CITR1 building science graduate and CITR2 air balancing and duct design graduate.
Richard enjoys spending his free time hunting, fishing and relaxing with family.
Dawn Robertson
Office Manager
Dawn Robertson began working for Casteel Heating & Cooling in 2004 as Office Manager. Prior to working for Casteel Heating & Cooling, she worked for a multi million dollar Japanese company as the Distribution Coordinator. Her vast experience in customer service has been a tremendous asset to Casteel Heating & Cooling. She enjoys working in the fast paced environment and contributes to many areas within the company, from Customer Service to Company Financials.
In her spare time, Dawn enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is the proud owner of Humo her amazing dog.
Dennis Gibson
Quality Control
With over 35 years of experience in the heating and air conditioning field, Dennis has just about seen it all! Known as a perfectionist during his installation days has made Dennis the perfect manager to oversee quality and installation training within Casteel. Dennis ensures that every job installed meets his strict criteria of acceptance. The results of Dennis’s accomplishments have been tremendous. With customer satisfaction scores at an industry high, and failure rates and callbacks at an industry low, he has proven his ability.
Flying his C-172m Cessna Skyhawk is his passion, but Dennis also enjoys swimming, biking, running and spending time with his wife.
