Keep Your Home and Family Healthier
It seems like someone in my house is always sick! Once one of us gets the cold, sooner or later, we all get it! Between the kids tracking in dirt to allergy season, it’s never ending! That is why I’ve found a list from Oprah.com of things you can do to help keep your family healthier.
Wash Your Hands!
This one should be a no brainer! Cold germs are commonly spread through hand-to-hand contact. Make sure you and your kids are washing your hand every time you re-enter your home.
When the kids are begging for a snack try offering them a glass of water first. Thirst and hunger both come from the hypothalamus, and are hard to differentiate.
If the air in your home is too dry it can crack your mucous membranes. This could result in a cold or throat infection. It would be wise to invest in a humidifier for the winter months!
If you aren’t already eating dinner as a family, you should start! Research has shown that kids who eat with their families tend to eat healthier. Plus, who doesn’t love a good meal with their kids. It’s a great way to catch up with everyone and build a strong family foundation.
Take Your Shoes Off!
Your shoes are tracking in more then just dirt! They can bring in countless germs, pesticides, dust mites and allergens. So tell everyone to leave ’em at the door!
Clean Air Filter
Provide your family with the cleanest air. An air filter will help anyone in your family who suffers from asthma and allergy, it can remove up to 99.98% percent of airborne allergens from your home's air as it’s heated or cooled. How’s that for clean air?
Follow these simple steps and you and your family will be on your way to a cleaner, healthier home. Say bye-bye to cold germs and hello to clan air y’all!
